The fiber flocks here at Fae Ridge are intentionally kept small. This allows me to have a very close relationship with each animal and take better care of each of them throughout their lives. The Angora goat flock consists of registered purebred white and colored goats.  My sheep are all cross-breeds (Blue Faced Leicester, Border Leicester and Shetland.) In my sheep breeding, I am working my way toward a manageable size animal with a long staple fiber and super soft fleece.  I continue to breed a few does and ewes each year to keep a nice supply of kid, lamb, and yearling fiber for my blends. With new kids and lambs each spring and a commitment to a small flock, I often have a few goats and sheep for sale each year.
